Imagine a place that is “perfect…whether you like food or sleep or story-telling or singing, or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all.” So described Bilbo Baggins of his experience in Rivendell, the Elven outpost in Middle Earth. What would that look like? How do you envision it? We have our own ideas.
Our recreation of the fantastically idyllic Rivendell is featured in this year’s Maryland Home and Garden Show (March 2-3 and March 8-10), where we took home Best in Show. This marks the first time in the show’s history that a company making its debut at the event was awarded the overall prize. Inspired by the Maryland Home and Garden Show’s theme, “Films in Flowers,” we created our own rendition of Rivendell, as depicted in the blockbuster fantasy book series turned films, The Lord of the Rings.
Come see our winning landscape design this weekend: the show is located on the Timonium Fairgrounds, and will be open on Friday, March 8th from 10:00am-6:00pm, Saturday, March 9th from 10:00am-9:00pm, and Sunday, March 10th from 10:00am-6:00pm.
